24 Different Outfits with One Dress and One Pair of Shoes

I have been invited to a weekend away. My only fashion requirements are a bathing suit (yikes!), a bathing suit cover up (whew), a sundress for dinner out and a casual skirt for sightseeing. I pulled out all my clothing requirements with accessories and realized that I was going to need a bigger suitcase.

I resent having to pay to check luggage – and the wait to retrieve it at the carousel – and every other nickel and diming the airlines have had to resort to, especially when I’m just traveling for a weekend!  It was time to get creative.

A convertible dress is nothing new, but I had never thought of one for me. I ended up buying this Elan convertible dress & skirt at a local store. I was amazed how easy the dress was to wear and how it really does suit all body shapes. I love how you can wear the dress to best suit your body type and when worn as a skirt the wide waist band is very flattering.  Check out their videos to see the many ways the dress can be worn. It is also a great bathing suit cover up that can easily go from poolside to cafe for lunch. Plus, for under $30.00 you can’t go wrong. If you don’t want to look for it locally, you can find it on Amazon.

Now, resolute to travel with only a small carry-on bag, packing three pairs of shoes was not an option. I am familiar with the flip flops with interchangeable straps but I wanted something not so casual. Onesole shoes with interchangeable tops was a perfect solution. The possibilities are endless! To check out their full line go to the Onesole website. They can also be purchased on Amazon.

So now I have the possibilities of one dress worn eight different ways, and one pair of shoes with three different straps to make 24 unique outfits. I am soooooo ready for the weekend away!

Sophia, thank you for bringing this bag to our attention. The Miche bag would surely complete the looks!
