Album & Cassette Art for the Music Lover

Bughouse music artDon’t know what to get for your son or daughter for graduation?  If they are music lovers and they already have the latest iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad and anything else that starts with an ‘I’, then this would be the perfect gift. Bughouse Art and Design is a Los Angeles design studio that has music inspired art and furniture made with images of old LPs and cassettes (do you remember what these are?) and home stereos. Several musical genres are depicted in their designs such as classic rock, jazz and reggae to name a few. At first look, their artwork looks like a shelf filled with either records or cassettes. It’s actually fun to “browse” through these albums. For me, looking at the “Awesome Sounds of the Eighties” was like taking a walk through memory lane.

I also love the BugHouse music inspired furniture. Being at an age where I can appreciate the equipment that we used way-back-when, it is fun to see it rendered as a unique piece of furniture.

So, although I had my son in mind for this gift, it would be perfect for Father’s Day (June 20). Both men in my life are avid music lovers and I know that both would appreciate this gift, my son for his room and my husband in his office. Check out the Bughouse website to view more styles.
