iPhone Bike Mount – Gift Idea for Father’s Day

27 May 2010 Leave a Comment

I am sooooooooo getting the BioLogic Bike Mount for iPhone for my husband for Father’s Day. Uh, I mean the kids are getting this for their dad for Father’s Day.

Since we’ve moved to the bicycle-friendly Chicago area (it’s flat with lots of bike trails), we are on our bikes all the time (well ok, not so much in January and ok, so, the flat part is a little monotonous for my husband, but it’s perfect for me). We’ve both downloaded different GPS based sports tracking apps. I use RunKeeper and my husband another (can’t remember which, sorry) to keep track of our cycling distances and speed. Up to this point and until this Father’s Day, we have been tucking away our iPhones, mine in my carry bag and my husband in his pocket (we wonder if we should worry more about damage to his iPhone or to his body if he falls!) which is not all that convenient for measuring progress and setting the app on pause as we break.

But no more! With this nifty waterproof (yes!) , shock resistant (score!), pivoting (thought of everything!) little wonder that is the BioLogic Bike Mount, my husband will have access to his cycling stats and other iPhone functions at any time. Works for motorcycles too.  I have to say, I’ve been looking for something like this since last year. So glad I found it.

While you are on the Dahon website, you will want to take a look at the BioLogic ReeCharge, a VERY cool gadget, especially for long distance cyclists. This smart device uses your pedaling power to charge a lithium polymer battery that in turn can charge a cell phone, camera, etc… How brilliant and green is that?

Is this potential for a happy dad on Father’s Day or what!
