Cambria Cove – Gifts With Something to Say
Invariably, and notwithstanding the wide array of subjects in which I am interested, it seems that my passion (obsession?) turns to the topic of gifts, gift ideas and gift giving rituals. I’m sometimes fearful of saturating my readers with all these gift suggestions, but then I think that we all, consistently, yearlong, have momentous events and personal celebrations that we want to underscore with a special offering. So, I justify that this topic is always in vogue. And when I talk about gift giving, I’m never talking about the cliché an
d almost obligatory commercial holidays (although, don’t you dare mess up on Mother’s Day; that would be a huge faux pas in any circumstance). I’m talking about the personal life events that we want to celebrate, cherish the memory of… We do that with symbolic and meaningful objects and so, i’m quite delighted to have discovered a new gift catalog company that does it like no one else. Cambria Cove.
Just launched a couple of months ago, the Cambria Cove gift company was a year and a half in the making, with hectic behind the scenes sourcing and shopping and globetrotting to bring together the most thoughtful and beautiful collection of gift ideas. And most of them entirely affordable too as Debbie Baldini, President, pointed out that 2/3 of their offering is under $80. It takes a special type of expertise and dedication to provide such a beautiful array of objects in that price range.
The gift collections are carefully categorized by emotional touchpoints instead of by the traditional gift recipient segmentation. I think that this is very instinctive and thoroughly in keeping with the company’s central theme of providing beautiful tools to help its customers to “reconnect” with one another and with themselves .
Indeed, here are some of the favorite ways that I would choose to connect with people important to my life:
CONNECT through beautiful paper and a personal note: Under this category, I love the journals, the artful notecards and the personalized calling cards. I have given a couple of these personal stamps in the past and they were a definite hit.
COMMEMORATE. Cambria Cove calls the gift ideas in this category “Treasures that mark the moments of our lives”. How perfect. Their signature Estrella charms collection is magnificent, but at the moment, I am also eyeing the Extasia Intaglio necklaces with great lust.
REJUVENATE. Gifts for well deserved restorative moments for a loved one or for yourself. These Claus Porto soaps are classics. That’s what happens when you’ve been making an exceptional product for 120 years. But you will also want to try the Voluspa candles (sinful) or the MOR tea cup candles as unforgettably classy hostess gifts.
CELEBRATE. Delicious foods and entertaining implements to help make your gatherings even more special and memorable. Imagine opening a box of MarieBelle confections to everyone’s delight. I love many of these ideas for wedding gifts, some classic enough that they will endure lifelong marriages.
SOLUTIONS. Help someone you love to master the everyday with style and flair. Know someone who spends too much time traveling? Try Gogovoyage‘s fun patent travel accessories. I also love the little Giorgio Fedon hardcases that could carry and safekeep innumerable objects.
You can tell that every single object featured in Cambria Cove’s pages has been selected with a careful filter to ensure that it is unique, beautiful and authentic. Many collections are commissioned specifically for Cambria Cove and won’t be found anywhere else. Every product has a story that tells of the object, its purpose and of the designer or the company behind it. Look for the “Product Story” tab that accompanies every product description.
Perfect gift giving in every way. And that does not even include mention of the gorgeous signature Cambria Cove gift box. Gift registry please! I’m sure that’s in the works.

The MarieBelle chocolates would be really cool wedding favours on the place setting for the wedding breakfast. They would all be individual too. Too late for me, we went with lindt dor but I’ll see who I can get to use those chocs!!
