A little late in the game, I guess, but I just learned that there is a documentary film coming out in June about the life and Dr. Bronner.

I bought my first Smencils (for the kids, I thought) when I visited one of Las Vegas’ loveliest shops, the Las Vegas Paper Doll Stationery Shop owned by Anne Kellogg. Boy, does she ever have an eye for cute stuff.
And, one of the totally cute and perfectly priced impulse items in the store are the Smencils ($2 ea.), scented pencils made out of recycled newspaper. I have stumbled upon this fantastic daily newsletter from www.IdealBite.com. They offer daily tips about easy simple ways to live a more ecologically aware way. As they say, small changes add up: “Small changes… Done by Many… Create Big Results.”
I love the “educational” aspect the best. In just a couple weeks of subscription, I’ve learned – among other things- about Parabens, cold water washing and the immense amount of CO2 emitted every time you flush the toilet in an airplane. Who knew?
