Clementine Art Supplies – Almost Good Enough to Eat

Clementine Art LogoAlthough you may not want your children to eat their crayons and taste the paper glue, you know that some of it will inevitably end up in their mouths.

A company called Clementine Art has come up with a whole art line for children that is all natural, certified non-toxic and environmentally friendly. It is the only company that lists the ingredients for each of its products. For example, its crayons are made with Kosher soy wax, mineral pigments, beeswax, carnauba wax, vegetable stearic acid, calcium carbonate (chalk), natural Brazilian rosin, and titanium dioxide. There are absolutely no chemical dyes or additives in any of the art supply products.

Developed by a teacher who taught children art, Diana Mercer noticed that kids seemed to paint with their whole Clementine Art crayonsbodies, including hair, teeth and tongues. She wanted to find a safer product for her little Picassos and Henry Moores. What she was looking for was not available on the market so Diana found herself in her kitchen making her own batch of non-toxic art supplies with natural ingredients. From this simple beginning Diana and Clementine Art now have a full line of natural art supplies, including crayons, markers, modeling dough, paint and glue. In addition, the company uses recycled, reusable and earth-friendly materials when possible.

Check out their complete line at ClementineArt.com. Their products can also be purchased on Amazon and caffeine addicts will like to know that certain Starbucks stores are now carrying the line as well.

Now I am not so concerned when I see my girls licking the paint or glue off their fingers. Phew.
