DIY Gel Manicure

As I was contemplating getting a much needed manicure and finding the time to squeeze in that nail appointment in these harried days, I remembered this product for DIY Gel manicure that I wanted to try. I haven’t tried it yet, but I still wanted to let you know about the Red Carpet Manicure. It gets uniformly excellent reviews whether on AmazonUlta or on Drugstore.com.

As I have mentioned last year,  I rarely got manicures until I discovered salon No Chip/Gel manicures. I’m completely hopeless at keeping – regular – polish un-chipped and un-smudged for more than five minutes. Well, actually, it’s more like three minutes. The No Chip has been my solution for long wearing nail polish (I can easily make it to TWO whole weeks of perfectly shiny nails with the No Chip) but it’s still not something that I indulge in more than a few times a year.

This is where the Red Carpet Manicure becomes really interesting. The Red Carpet starter kit goes for a suggested retail price of $79.99  (though I just spotted it on Drugstore.com for HALF off!) which means that a DIY no gel will pay for itself in less than two nail salon visits. And, no hassle trying to find the time to make it to the salon. I’ll be painting my nails while watching a movie!

The starter kit includes the base coat, the polish, the top coat, the cleanser, the nail polish remover and the light to cure each layer of polish in 45 seconds.

Have you tried it? Let me know!

Hmm, for forty dollars I might try it.
I just had my first gel manicure and loved it. More than two weeks of perfect nails!

I know! Two weeks is huge in my nail world. I’d say, go for it, take the plunge, I just did!!
