Früute – Not Your Mother’s Gift Baskets

27 November 2012 Leave a Comment

Dilemma. You need to provide a – nice – gift for someone you don’t know all that well, but you know that the gesture will mean a lot. And say a lot about you.

Stress. Your first thought is “gift basket”.

Dread. You need to navigate the world of gift baskets, avoiding tacky,  swerving around generic and not hitting overpriced.

Deflated. Or…

Aha! Someone is finally treating the gift basket with the modernity and dignity it deserves! That’s Früute for you, Früute, Gift Unordinary.

We found this delightful company while surfing the interwebs and had to mention them. We breathe and live gifts all year round, so we know a good one when we see one. And that’s the Früute gift basket.

Every creative Früute gift basket has a theme that tells a story. Choose from Housewarming, Get Well Soon, New Baby… But for the holidays, and for that “person you don’t know that well”, we were thinking of the Corporate (not at all stuffy) or the Nibble Lover gift baskets.

All baskets are packaged in a reusable felt basket. The gift items include premium food “snacks” and cute design-y gift objects (like the floppy disk sticky notes seen at left). The gift tag is actually a “message in a bottle” that you can personalize.

We definitely think that this is the way to feel good about giving gift baskets again so we gave the company our Gift-Worthy Seal of Approval.

Shop the Früute gift baskets here.

BTW, gift baskets might not be the only solution for this dilemma. Check out our “Impossible to Buy for” gift guide which might provide some additional gift ideas for that “person you don’t know that well”.
