Inspiration in Daily Doses
The days are getting shorter, colder, grayer. Besides overloading on vitamin D supplements, some of these sunny-daily-quotes-by-subscription might infuse you with all the energy you would need to spruce up your spirits. Here are some of my favorites…
“Thoughts become things. Choose the good ones!®”. I TOTALLY believe that. These daily Notes from the Universe is a definite top-of-the-list favorite. I’ve been hooked ever since my good friend Chris turned me on to them. Infused with a little spunk and humor and lots of hit-me-like-a-brick truths, these are a daily fix for me. You can subscribe to yours right from the homepage. A sample: “Have you noticed, that the more you hurry, the slower you go? The more you wait, the longer it takes? The more you worry, the less you dream? But the more you live, love, and laugh, Anne-Marie, the more you live, love, and laugh. Weird? The Universe”. I love the customization too!
TSW contributor Audrey turned me on to this one. Heal Your Life by Louise Hay is a classic read and is now also a website. Many equally well known authors (Wayne Dyer, Christiane Northrup…) provide daily affirmations, or as they put it “Wisdom to inspire, educate, and help heal your life”. For example, Marianne Williamson says today “There is within each of us the possibility of magnificence. Every moment is an opportunity to make it manifest. Let the spirit awaken you to a miraculous life”. Love that. Get your affirmations here.
“Know yourself & grow yourself”. This is a membership site, but receiving a newsletter of daily quotes is free. This newsletter features a series of quotes and tips from many sage souls, such as this recent one: “What we see depends mainly on what we look for.” — Sir John Lubbock . You can subscribe here.
“You are loved. All is well”. Esther Hicks, through channeling Abraham, spoke of The Law of Attraction way before The Secret even came about. And, whether one is skeptic about the whole channeling thing doesn’t bother me one bit. The feel-good message is really all that matters. Reading the daily quote is part of my morning ritual. Subscribe here. Lots of video clips to watch too. It’s amazing to see Esther in action.
The Voice for Love, “Accessing your Inner Wisdom”. These daily quotes are more “God” specific. Some people feel better with that, some less. Still an empowering message. A recent example: “Share in the knowledge that you are worthy to receive every desire of your heart. Allow God’s love to fill every part of your being, even the parts you judge and feel guilty about.” You can subscribe to the daily inspirational messages from the homepage.
I love the straight-forwardness of this site which collects and shares quotes, stories and poems from inspirational renowned authors and just plain ol’ regular folks from all over the world. Here’s one from Richard Bach (author, Jonathan Livingston Seagull): “Here is a test to find out whether your mission in life is complete. If you’re alive, it isn’t.” You can sign up to receive daily messages from this page.
