Laura Wolf – Hand-Engraved Heirloom Silver Cuffs
I was introduced to Laura through my friend, Bernadette. Laura was wearing the most stunning sterling silver wrist cuff. She told me that she is actually the artist who made it. This woman has talent! Years ago (I am not to say how many), Laura enrolled in the oldest engraving school in the country in Pennsylvania. The school was established in the 1850′s and, until it closed its doors a few years ago, kept the integrity of teaching engraving the old fashion way, meaning no machines. Sadly, there are now only a handful of hand-engravers left in the States.
Taking a closer look at her cuff, I loved and appreciated the graceful curls flowing towards a fleur-de-lys at the center of the design. Several initials with fluid lines connecting them to each other were also engraved on the inside of the cuff. The initials represent her family and the lines symbolize how each is connected to the other at all the times. How beautiful! Hearing of her story, I could feel the passion and the emotion she felt about her own bracelet.
She makes them for others too! Each piece is custom made for her clients and they take about a week to create. Laura works closely with each client. Some come with specific designs in mind while others have Laura design the whole piece.
It is artists like Laura that keep these dying arts alive. So, if you are looking for a special mother’s day gift that will last for generations (initials can be added as your family grows) or for a graduation gift for your senior (think of a favorite symbol or saying) these are heirloom pieces that will last a lifetime and then some.

Thank you for including my daughter in designing the most beautiful piece of jewlery that I recieved on Mothers Day, it is truly a piece of art.
Mackenzies initials in a heart in the front, my husbands and my initials on each side of the opening, and a personal message on the inside.
When I’m not wearing it, it sits on a piece of rose quatz on my coffee table so I can admire the craftsmanship.
It was the perfect gift, I can’t wait to order them for my sisters.
