PersonalWine Holiday 2009

WE HAVE OUR FIRST WINNER! CONGRATULATIONS Kristin!
You have won the wine package of your choice, gracieuseté of PersonalWine.com

and CONGRATULATIONS to Jen, our second place winner.

The winner was selected at random using the Random Integer Generator. This giveaway CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED but do subscribe via RSS or email to get updates on new giveaways as they get posted. Thank you all for playing!

Here’s an unbelievable early holiday treat from one of our favorite giveaway sponsor, PersonalWine.com. Audrey (our luscious foodie and wino contributor) introduced us to them back in May (read the article here).  PersonalWine.com not only offers personal, custom labels which make their bottles perfect for gift giving, but more importantly, their wines are all hand-picked by their wine experts and over-deliver for their price points.

We are excited to offer TWO prizes for this giveaway:

6 Bottles of ’05 Vilafonte C Red Blend ($450 value)

Tasting Notes: The Vilafonte Series C is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Cabernet Franc blend. Muscular but polished, with a rich, dark finish. The sophisticated, complex nose shows blackcurrant fruit with a herby, spicy, earthy sort of personality. The palate is strongly savory with fig, spice, earth & medicinal hints to the dense, structured fruit. 10-20 years cellar. Regular price $75 per bottle. Food Pairing: Port reduction sauce glazed rack of lamb

12 Bottles of ’07 Castle Rock Willamette Pinot Noir ($360 value)

Tasting Notes: Cool coastal Pacific wind trails up Willamette Valley to produce an optimal climate for producing Pinot Noir. This elegant medium-bodied wine offers aromas of cherry and spice, showing flavors of berries, cinnamon, black cherry, sweet vanilla, oak, with a clean finish. Regular price $30 per bottle.  Food Pairing: chicken, salmon and light pastas

To register your entry for this fantastic giveaway, you need to tell us two things: 1) what type of personalized label you would be designing if you were this giveaway’s winner. Visit PersonalWine.com label page for ideas. 2) tell us which of these two wine selections you would choose. Let us know by posting a comment here below. GIVEAWAY NOTE: as a special procedure for this 2 prize giveaway, the first randomly drawn name (first place winner) will get first pick of wine (The 6 bottles of the Vilafonte C Red Blend or the 12 bottles of the Castle Rock Willamette Pinot, hummmm), while the second place winner (second randomly drawn name) will get the other choice. Not bad! I wish I could play.

This giveaway is open until December 2 @ 11:59am CT. Usual giveaway rules are: One entry per person. The winner will be chosen at random using a random integer generator. Your information is confidential and used for this giveaway only. Multiple entries will be deleted. Valid in US only. Must be 21 and older. Duh.

Talk about solving your gift-giving dilemmas in one fell swoop, huh? Good luck!!

This is fun! It was hard to pick a label. I think I would go with the Fall Holiday and the Pinot Noir. Thanks!
