galeos-logoAs the Galeos bottle states “You’ve waited long enough. World’s Best Miso Caesar Salad Dressing”! Don’t let the word Miso dissuade you if you are not a fan of soybeans or miso.  If it was not on the label you would never know it is a Miso dressing.  Not only is this truly the best Caesar Salad Dressing I have ever tasted (that includes my own fabulous homemade version), it is low in fat  at 1 g per serving, and low in calories:  only 14 calories per tablespoon!!  I tend to be a bit generous with when dressing my salads, but I find that with this dressing a little goes a long way.  My husband loves it.  He uses it on e.ve.ry.thing, chicken, steak fajitas, pizza and even on veggies.

The company started in my own backyard of Newport Beach, California at  galeos-miso-dressingsGaleos Café where chefs Andrei Leontieff and Gordana Smardzic co-created the dressings. Customers raved about them and started to ask for take-home bottles.  This initiated the opening of a facility to exclusively make their dressings.   They now have cult-like followers.  Beside their Miso Caesar Salad Dressing they also offer Miso Sesame, Miso Dijonnaise and Miso Ginger Wasabi.

Galeos’ promise, as stated on the bottle of Caesar dressing states “Fragrance and flavor abound in this hearthy, full bodied dressing, brimming with a richly SUCCULENT infusion of garlic, anchovies, capers and poupon mustard.  One taste and you’re hooked for life™”.  I AM hooked!

Made with only the finest, freshest all natural ingredients, the dressings contain no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or MSG. They are low in fat, sugar, salt and carbohydrates, and they contain miso, a fermented soybean paste believed to have significant health benefits.

This is so serendipitous. My son just called; we were discussing nutrition. We’re both outrageously healthy but definitely not slender. He asked me about salad dressing. I’ve been enjoying Galeos’ Miso dressing for years now. I used to buy it by the gallon online (until the shipping charges became ridiculous). Now, when I go to Albertson’s, the checkout clerk always comments on my 8-10 bottles of the stuff and why am I buying so many, etc. So, my son’s girlfriend was shopping; I asked Mark to call her on her cell phone and tell her about Galeos. He just called and she’s buying the red label Miso variety. Now, we’re a one-dressing family. No kidding, it’s the best dressing available when you consider the low sodium, low calories, low carbs, and the marvelous taste of it as contrasted with typical ranch-type dressings.

I love that you discuss such things with your son! And thanks for your comment. Audrey (who wrote the article) will be happy to know that her “addiction” to this dressing is shared by others! It’s a healthy addiction, right?

so disappointing that this company has been faking their nutrition stats: http://www.walletpop.com/blog/category/consumer-ally/

      Diane,
Wow, thanks for bringing that to our attention. Let us review and decide how we will modify this article. It seems that it will be taking a turn to now address corporate deception!
