Second Base, as in Camisoles

26 March 2010 Leave a Comment

second base logoI must be showing my age, because it seems that I’m all about covering up of late. I wrote about the Hip-T a few months ago, the “t-shirt extenders” that help cover up unfortunate plumber’s crack sightings caused by low-rise jeans (I wear mine all the time, the Hip-T, that is). Now I’m all about Second Base, another half-breed of a camisole, but this one for the upper body.

It’s not that I’m that much of a prude, but I’m not so keen on having it all hang out. Much of fashion seems to be cut for the 20-something bodies, when the young ladies don’t have as much to let hang out. But now? I’ll keep all that to myself thankyouverymuch.

Second Base camisoles are made of a fabric that I had not heard of, a siro modal/spandex blend. Modal is an eco-friendly fiber extracted from the cellulose of trees. Spandex, we know well and Siro is a treatment that protects the fabric from piling.

second base camisole

You would want to wear a form fitting Second Base camisole when you need to hike up the décolleté of your top or dress but when you don’t want to add layering bulk and bunching. Perfect for light summer tops and dresses.

Something else you didn’t know you needed but will wonder how you lived without… You can order Second Base camis here.
