Just in time for Father’s Day, a do-it-yourself kit beer making kit from Brooklyn Brew Shop. Whether your patriarch is familiar in the kitchen or not, this no-brainer, easy-to-follow process allows even the I-can’t- boil-water type to make high quality and complex beers on top of the stove.
Brooklyn Brew Shop’s user-friendly beer making kit uses only fresh, whole ingredients, such as cracked barley, hops, spices and yeast, and follows the traditional brewery method to producing beer that has been used for centuries. Some men take their grilling pretty seriously. My husband Scott is definitely one of them. He would, if he could, barbecue everything. We have been loyal owners of both the charcoal and gas Weber barbecues for most of our married life. My husband faithfully cleans them, pampers them and loves accessorizing them. To Scott, grilling on a fine barbecue is like driving a fine car. It is not only about the performance but also about being aesthetically pleasing. Here are three that Scott has put on his wish list.

I am in love with Jo Malone fragrances but the size of any of the bottles makes it almost impossible to take along with me. Traveling anywhere with large bottles of perfume is just not convenient. I can’t take them in my carry-on without losing the bottle to TSA. And most definitely can’t fit a large perfume bottle in my evening clutch!
I have tried other travel-sized perfume bottles but I seem to always spill more perfume out of the funnel than I can get in the other bottle. Way too costly! And anyhoo, if the [...]

Sunday, June 19th is around the corner and for all of you who forgot (yes, I am looking at you) that means Father’s Day is fast approaching and unless you are one of the lucky ones with a dad who is a real zealot for some sort of hobby, you are wringing your hands in despair because buying dad a gift can be particularly difficult. Annoyingly, many fathers are of the, “Save your money” and “It’s a ‘Hallmark’ holiday” variety which moves them from the “difficult” to the “eye-gouging” category on your shopping list.
Lucky [...]

My husband does not, will not and down right hates to shop. I have spent many wasted hours shopping for him, having to return most of what I had bought. I kept telling myself that, from now on, I would not buy him clothes anymore, but it did not make sense. After all, I was at the store anyway, for either myself or one of our children, I might as well look for him also. Since he would never do it on his own… He’d still wear his early 90′s garb if it was just [...]

My father loved his safari vest. He found it so convenient, especially when traveling. Even though this was before cell phones and mp3 players he was still able to fill all the pockets with change, car keys, kleenex, maps and lord knows what else (kind of like my purse). The only problem was that when worn it always looked so bulky and lumpy. Scottevest has come up with a solution for this that is not only practical but also streamlined and stylish. Their 22 pocket vest is made of lightweight breathable Teflon-treated Cotton/Nylon blend. It [...]

Ok, so the term “metrosexual” is done with. Can’t use it anymore (understandably, men find it offensive). But certainly doesn’t mean that men are caring any less about personal care and grooming. Au contraire, men are now under almost as much pressure as us women to keep up appearances. And there are now wonderful products that can help us help our men to take better care of their skin… So that now they can be equally beautiful inside and out!
Here are some of our favorite ideas for Father’s Day gift ideas in the personal grooming category:

I recently wrote an article about the in-fashion of cuffs for women. Let’s not leave the men out. No matter what their age this one single piece shows that he has style and is not afraid to show it. They are perfect for both the young and, shall we say, seasoned, men in your life. With both Father’s Day and graduations just around the corner, these may just be the gift you are looking for.
Here are a few of my favorites that would suit both the Grad and the Dad:
