You know that we have quite a penchant for Box-of-the-Month subscriptions. Whether the theme be beauty, adult, healthy eating, men’s gifts or anything in between, we feel that box-of-the-month subscriptions make great gift ideas. Certainly, it gets your gift recipient to think about the gift-giver (you!) every time a new box is received.
And with February being synonymous with all matters of the heart and pretty things, we thought that we would mention these jewelry subscription boxes as delightful gift surprises for a Valentine in your life:
Lucid Box – For $26 per month, Lucid will send the subscriber two “surprise” pieces [...]

A high school friend of mine is just going through a divorce and getting back on the dating scene. He is successful, attractive and with a great sense of humor. At age 50, he does not want to settle down but rather, wants to have fun and simply enjoy someone else’s company. Although, he has not had any problems meeting women, he still finds it challenging to meet someone who has similar interests, tastes and is old enough to have watched Seinfeld as an adult (and not in reruns!).
Clearly, social media does make it easier [...]

I find that as I got older, Valentine’s Day has taken on a whole new purpose. In fact, I don’t know one of my friends who actually celebrates this occasion. For my husband and me, it is more of a reminder of the amorous side of our relationship than it is of us trying to shoehorn all sorts of overblown expectations of romance into one day.
Intimacy is known to take the back burner when reality has you dealing with stress from work, the daily responsibilities of parenting and just plainly being too tired. Déjàmor understands this. [...]

I have been married for 26 years now and, unbeknownst to our children, my husband and I still have sex. Yes, it is true. It may not be as often as we once used to, but my feeling is that quality beats quantity. And I love married sex. No one knows me and what I like more than my husband. There is a complete level of trust that allows us opportunities to explore, experiment and let our fantasies come to life. So, when I saw Jeremy Brown’s Love is Art Kits, I thought that this [...]

Here is a great way to say “Will you be mine?” or “You are mine!” this Valentine’s Day.
Baking For Good can transform all those instagram pics you have of each other into sweet treats. Every holiday season the girls and I, with their grandmother, make a gingerbread house. When I started this family tradition, our now 20-year-old son was very young. Grandma and I would make the house from scratch and then he would have the honors of decorating it. Because the enjoyment for the kids was really in the decorating of the house, by the time we had our second child I had started purchasing the gingerbread house kits.
I am now thrilled to see there is an even easier way to continue the tradition with less time, mess [...]

I must admit that I got a little distracted while visiting Bliss Connection’s online romance store to write this article. I can’t say that I am all too familiar most of these the products but, that does not mean that I don’t see their value… Indeed, dear friends of ours have recently gone through the harrowing experience of prostate cancer. Although he now seems to be cancer free, the experience most definitely affected his ability to perform. Friends of theirs bought them a gift certificate to purchase, shall we say, enhancement products to help. And [...]

As I am celebrating my 50th birthday this year, I am looking at Valentine’s Day a little differently. This year it is all about me and self-love. Being my own soul mate. I am really looking at myself for who I am and I am embracing both my strengths and weaknesses, with all my imperfections in all their glory. So, here are a few things that I just LOVE and that make ME happy (and perhaps you too?):
Heart Pendant Necklace – Nothing says love more than a heart symbol, but this necklace states it in [...]

You know when you come across something that gives you such a sweet feeling? Well, Hook-Links did this to me. It brought me back to when I was younger (much younger), when my best friend Keri and I were inseparable. We lived within a short walking distance from each other and when we were not together, we were on the phone talking for hours! (I wish I could go back in time and listen to those phone calls.) We slept and ate at each others homes, we did sports together and even joined each others [...]
