necklush logoThe Necklush™ (available in various lengths and colors) is an all-in-one scarf, cowl and necklace made of multiple seamless loops that creates a very stylish and modern look. I got mine on 1000markets (this one to be exact) and am assaulted by comments and compliments every time I wear it.

Necklush Troy & StephanoTwo absolutely charming gentlemen created the Necklush, Troy and Stephano. I was so enamored with their product that I had to feature them here and had to ask them a few questions about their backgrounds and inspirations.:

I’d love to know more about the Troy & Stephano creative partnership. What creative vision brought you guys together? What else do you do?
Stephano and I (Troy) have been friends for about 10 years.  I’m an artist, musician, dj, entrepreneur!  Stephano is a printer, interior designer and comedian! We love house music, we used to go dancing a lot, but now it’s all about our baby: Necklush.

What creative process or synchronicity of events brought the Necklush into being?
Stephano had worked for some designers and I owned an outsider art gallery when we met in a club in NYC, and we realized we both just had some converging interests in uniqueness. So it took a while to find out what we wanted to do but we knew we wanted to be creative and make something cool. We had no idea that in less than a year we would be where we are today, full time artists!  YAY!

The synchronicity began once we started feeding our heads with the right stuff.  We began reading books on success, business, positive thinking, marketing… really trying to figure out what made people successful.  We didn’t know what we were going to be doing but with all this positive influence, we gained the confidence that we would know “it” when it hit. Once our minds opened to new ways of looking at the world, we then focused on eliminating our fear of failure.  Once that was gone, we just started making what we wanted to make, without worrying about anything at all!  We were simply focused on being creative.  When we designed Necklush we got such an amazing reaction from people that we knew this was “it”, it was what we wanted to do.

What is the Necklush made of? 99 % are made of cotton loops of fabric.  All of the prints you see are hand printed by Stephano.  He is the master printer!  We love coming up with new designs and colors… and can’t wait to find some more time to introduce some new patterns…
You can wash the Necklush in the mesh bag that it comes in, but we recommend spot cleaning because of the delicate nature of the strands.

Any new projects on the horizon?
We are focused on Necklush for the time being, but we do have our sights set on opening an online art venue someday soon!  At the moment, you can see some of our favorite artists on BuyThisNow. We love the net, the instant availability of unique prints and artwork and are decorating our studio with some of the amazing art that we have been meeting online….    If we ever have time, we want to do some traveling too.  Brazil!  South America!  Here we come!

I think the Brazilians would totally rock the Necklush. Us Americans can get Necklushed here on 1000 markets.com and here on Etsy.com.
