These Shoes are Made for Walking
Comfortable shoes. Oh, the images that conjures. Not pretty ones for the most part. For me, vanity dictates that “comfortable” shoes come in the form of flats (I could never do the sneaker thing). I was thrilled when ballet flats came back in style a couple of years ago. Here’s a shoe that looks good with short skirts, long skirts and cropped pants. Love ‘em. Except that they’re not always comfortable. The sole is too thin, too rigid or the heel too slim…
I just bought my second pair of Me Too flats, now officially my favorite brand of “comfortable” shoes. The love affair
started early last year, when I bought a pair of Me Too red flats in preparation for a European school trip with my daughter, with lots of planned walking. I had no grand expectations for these shoes, just knowing that they were well priced and quite comfortable when I tried them on in the store. Well, 18 months later, I finally broke down and bought my second pair, a classic black ballet flat, with equal satisfaction.
The sole of Me Too flats is wonderfully padded and the heel is just the right height. I must have trekked a couple thousand miles on my first pair. They’ve accompanied me on every trip, every errand, every trade show. Trade shows really put these shoes to the test, when walking in thinly covered concrete floors normally hits the back after a couple hours. Not with my Me Too’s where aside from normal fatigue, I could have gone on walking forever. And after all those miles, my red flats are still in great shape. I can’t kill them. My new black flats will be perfect for fall.
The Me Too slogan goes “We have established ourselves in the fashion world as both timeless and classic with our own little edge”. That sums it up quite well. Now, I’m seriously eyeing their boots and “Locket” pump with the hidden platform. You can find a “Where to Buy” list on the Me Too website.
Just thought you’d like to know.

Could have used a pair while trekking in numerous cities in Spain and Italy! By the way, are they sold in Europe?
