Would It Kill Him? The Anti-Valentine Gift Idea

11 February 2010 3 Comments

Know somWould it kill him Miranda Juneeone who’s not so lucky with her amorous relationships? That wants to forget all about Valentine’s Day and instead vent a little? Or a lot. Here’s a cute gift line for those who live with many of the “didn’t put the cover back on the toothpaste” type of annoyances.

The Would It Kill Him® line features the edgy yet vulnerable Miranda June character. She is Laura Brucato’s creation and artistic outlet, used to unleash frustrations gained during a series of unfortunate romantic relationships. Actually, Miranda is very much Laura’s alter ego. Miranda is the one who fully expresses the extent of her emotions, thoughts and frustrations… concerning men, in this case.

Though Miranda originates from a place of disgruntlement, she takes us to a place of humor, where her spunky little character expresses what we are so often thinking: Would it kill him to put his clothes in the laundry basket, not on the floor next to it? To not forget Would it kill him toilet seatmy birthday? To look at me when I’m talking? To put down the toilet seat? To tell me that he loves me? To take me out once in a while?

The list goes on and on, with one would-it-kill-him saying after another to illustrate whatever shortcoming the schmuck-of-the-moment might be exhibiting. T-shirts, mugs, greetings, magnets, bags… if you can’t say it, Miranda June has no problems expressing it for you. To note: Miranda, the oh so stylish one, is represented in a new illustration for each would-it-kill-him scenario, and each of these is identified by a series number. Perfect for collectors. Though I can only hope that collected Mirandas do not, in any case, constitute a collective representation of jerk-of-a-boyfriend experiences!

Personally, mine would be limited to “Would it kill him to ever start the dishwasher?”

Love it! So… true about husbands and boyfriends. Ask your self over the years have you said ” Would it kill him to?” do all the quotes stated in the article. So cute! Thanks, for enlightening me on this web site. I will be placing orders. I will be telling all my clients to visit Zazzle. Kudos.. to Laura Brucato for this inspiration to express our feelings.

Very cute & sooo original. What an amazing talent for creating something every woman can identify with. “Would it kill him” is something I know I’ve said many, many times in my 40 years of marriage ;-)

I first learned about this artist from her billboard on I294 here in the Chicago area; then today I saw an article about her in the SunTimes. What a novel way to use art to express your feelings in a whimsical way. I am purchasing a product which will say….”Will it kill him to lay off the car horn”; obviously I have an issue, a friend of mine is an impatient driver who can’t seem to lay off the horn, this will be my gentle way of saying “enought already” (smile).
