Clever Find: Nora Fleming’s Interchangeable Ceramics

By Audrey van Petegem, Senior Editor

I have found something to collect and I am not a collectible kind of person – unless you count shoes…

Anyway, I have just discovered Nora Fleming's fun ceramic accents that dress up a simple white platter making it suit any season, event, or special occasion. I love this idea of having one platter for every occasion with interchangeable pieces!

Nora Fleming's cute, whimsical, keepsake minis have become part of my family's traditions. With almost 80 minis to choose, I already have my fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas minis picked out. Each hand-painted piece has a stem which slips into the accompanying hole in the dishes to instantly complement any tablescape.

The minis are $12.50 and the variety of dishes, from bowls to cake stands, range from $12.50 – $60.00. Plus, there is a keepsake box for purchase to keep your minis safe when not in use.

Here's a cute video that shows Nora's brainstorm that launched her ceramics design company:

You can buy directly from Nora Fleming. The holiday season is almost upon us (oy!), so keep in mind that these would make a fantastic hostess gift or wedding gift, which is why we gave it our Gift-Worthy seal of approval.

  1. Those are so cute! I am going to have to buy one or two.

  2. Oh wow, I love this idea. All my platers are black or white due to the fact I have moved continuously. This would work perfectly for me!

I love this idea of dressing up a plate and you know this would also be a good idea to use for visiting grand children to encourage them to eat. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful site.

  4. I love these. I have never been a collector either, but there was a while where I fell in love with teapots and started collecting them. When we moved from a house to an apt. I had to get rid of many.
